Blue-winged Teal
A small dabbling duck with a compact body and a bold blue patch on the wing, usually seen best in flight. Males have a gray-blue head with a bright white crescent in front of the eye, while females are mottled brown. Often found in shallow marshes, ponds, wetlands, flooded fields, and lake edges.
